United Helpers Holds Annual Employee Recognition Luncheon

 

OGDENSBURG - Nearly 75 employees from United Helpers were honored at the company's annual Employee Recognition Luncheon held at the Gran View in Ogdensburg. Employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-plus years of service were all recognized, as were this year's Margaret Spies Award winners, Patricia Kerr from Maplewood, Debra Bice from Mosaic and Brook Duprey from Riverledge.

United Helpers Streamlining Application/Hiring Process

 

OGDENSBURG – In an effort to streamline both the job application and hiring processes, United Helpers has launched an “Employment Portal” at www.unitedhelpers.org.

“We wanted applicants to be contacted quicker, which in-turn will hopefully reduce the length of time our hiring process takes,” said Human Resources Specialist Michelle R. Matthews.

The launching of the portal comes as the result of a joint effort between the United Helpers Human Resources and IT Departments.

Lollapolosers Claim Choose to Lose Title

 

A team made up of employees from United Helpers Management Company claimed this year's Choose to Lose title dropping 5.56 percent of their total body weight during the three month contest.

The Lollapolosers included Rae Hesseltine, Robin Logan, Carmen Paone and the contest's overall biggest loser, Michelle Matthews.

Since the contest began in February, Ms. Matthews has lost more than 20 pounds, a total that was good for an impressive 11.82 percent of her body weight.

Hooper Honored With Life Improved Award

 

CANTON – Terry Hooper, a 30-year employee of United Helpers has been honored with the organization’s winter 2016 Life Improved Award.

Ms. Hooper, who is employed as a hospitality coordinator, cook, transporter and even back-up maintenance person works at Partridge Knoll in Canton was selected from a field of 28 nominees.
